April Issue 2016

Spring has arrived and the sun is shining which gets me thinking about trips and festivals more than any other time of year. I already have a full itinerary planned out to take me through to the end of this year. I’ll share this with you when it’s happening.

We had the TNT/STA Travel Show on Saturday 27 February and it was great to see thousands of our readers picking up exclusive travel deals and bargains. More than 50 exhibitors entertained and inspired visitors with their passion for travel at the Business Design Centre in Islington. Statistics are in and your favourite places to visit in 2016 are Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Egypt and the USA.

So what’s in the first monthly edition of the TNT digital magazine?

Adventurer Ash Dykes spent 155 days traversing across the entire length of Madagascar, through sweltering desert and sand dunes in the south, before hacking his way through the dense jungle in the north. A real inspirational article for those of you who dream about jacking it all in to experience something adventurous.

There’s nothing quite like spending the summer months sailing across the Dalmatian coast in Croatia. The perfect location to learn how to sail, sunbathe, eat, party and drink. I wonder if you can grow a beard as long as our writer Matt Risley.

One of our favourite travel television presenters Simon Reeve spent time answering some of our readers’ questions. Did you know that he spent five years writing a book about al Qaeda? It hit the shelves back in 1998.

We’ve got some fantastic festival ticket giveaways for Garorock, Lunar, Nozstock, Love International and Soundwave, take a look inside for details of how to enter.

Would love to hear what you think of the digimag.
