Golden Backpack Awards 2016

They attract well north of 300 nominations across more than 30 adventure travel categories – and that adds up to a whole lot of travel operators that you, our loyal TNT readers, can trust to deliver your dreams.

We’re not satisfied with cast-iron guarantees of a good time. Ours have to be golden. The nominees and the winners of each year’s Golden Backpacks – the original and most established awards dedicated to the independent travel sector – are your kind of travel partner because it was you and your mates who put them on the rostrum.

After entering the awards through a simple nominating process, the awards are voted for by you during a national campaign in TNT Magazine, on www.tntdownunder.com and www.tntmagazine.com and our social media channels.

The voting process is closely monitored (we’re always on the lookout for cheats) and supplemented by secret shopper assessments. Ultimately they justly reward those companies who work hardest to make backpacking around Australia and New Zealand that extra bit special.
